Music

I make music. Just like other humans do.

I like to make DJ sets for my friends. I put it on SoundCloud and go by the moniker Jappar, which is my middle name. The image I use for my DJ avatar is a drawing my daughter did when she was 16. She’s 21 now. What an amazing artist she is. Both of them. Check out their art here. Here’s a quick view on a super simple DJ setup.

My life partner is with me because I wrote a song on a cassette tape and gave it to her (we barely knew each other). We had twins a year later. Man! That’s potent stuff! Here’s the song. I love her with all of my being. My dearest brother from another mother got us into a recording studio for my birthday and did the second guitar part. What a guy!

One song I wrote right after the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. I was upset about it. It’s called Violated. It’s a complex topic and a very confused one with many facets that require in depth consideration, best led by women and not men. One thing I was thinking about there…if you are against abortion because it is ending life and you believe there is a god who is putting humans into existence with purpose. Then you must also believe that this god is not weak and won’t be stopped. This god will put that life somewhere else. So, you probably don’t need to get involved.

I also will sometimes contribute to music and dance events. Here is a tiny peek into that. This is a space room with a Space Barbie rotating in the ceiling. This was not created by me but by some amazing creators of experience I am so so so so grateful to know. Below that, more amazing art created by another amazing human.
